Surat: Surat students put up an impressive performance in the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) CMA Intermediate and Final examinations, the results of which were declared on Wednesday. Raunak Jain secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Intermediate exam, while Pratham Chaurawala bagged AIR 5 in the Final. In all, 16 students from the CMA Surat South Gujarat Chapter featured in the top 50 ranks nationwide.In the CMA Final examination, seven Surat students made it to the top 50: Pratham Chaurawala (AIR 5), Nishant Karwa (AIR 19), Jill Shah (AIR 20), Mahak Jain (AIR 33), Kanhaiya Agrawal (AIR 42), Priyanshi Mehta (AIR 44) and Kavish Agrawal (AIR 48).In the Intermediate examination, Raunak Jain topped the country with AIR 1. Other rank-holders from Surat included Harsh Jain (AIR 4), Purvansh Baldi (AIR 5), Diyakumari Khalasi (AIR 7), Shubham Agarwal (AIR 12), Parth Agrawal (AIR 13), Sikha Parmani (AIR 20), Sanket Rungta (AIR 30) and Manas Sanghvi (AIR 36).Keval Shah, chairperson of the CMA Surat South Gujarat Chapter, said 994 students appeared for the Intermediate examination, with 153 clearing both groups, while 244 students appeared for the Final examination and 67 passed both groups. The overall pass percentage stood at 15% for the Intermediate exam and 27% for the Final exam.“Surat achieved a significant milestone by securing 16 All India Ranks in the top 50 across the Intermediate and Final examinations,” Shah said.
