Surat: A 65-year-old civil engineer living in a posh Adajan housing society has been booked for allegedly stalking and molesting his neighbour, a 46-year-old woman, who alleged he had been harassing her for over two years through unwanted advances, repeated stalking and explicit messages.Adajan police registered an FIR against the accused after the woman alleged that he continued to harass her despite repeated objections, even after his family were informed of his misconduct.The complainant, a mother of two whose husband runs a manufacturing unit in the city, stated that the accused had been troubling her for two years. According to the FIR, he would call her when she was alone at home and say he merely wanted to pass the time.The woman alleged that the accused, near TGB Circle on LP Savani Road, tried to grab her hand and force her to sit on his two-wheeler.She told police that she had earlier informed the accused’s wife and daughter about his behaviour, after which the harassment halted for a couple of months. The accused allegedly resumed his harassment and began pestering her with messages and sending her explicit videos.
