Surat: Dilay Parmar, a scientific officer at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) has received the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) Young Engineer’s Award 2026 for the Computer Engineering Division, recognising his contributions to engineering research and technological development.The award was presented at the 39th IEI National Convention of Computer Engineers held recently in Kochi. The honour was conferred by S Shakthimani, CMD of Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), in the presence of guest of honour Duvvuri Seshagiri, director of the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), DRDO.The IEI Young Engineers Award is presented annually to engineering professionals below the age of 35 for outstanding contributions to research and technological advancement in their respective disciplines.
