Alleges Repeated Threats Of Being JailedSurat: A 28-year-old electrician from Bilimora allegedly died by suicide after posting a nine-minute video in a WhatsApp group in which he held four people, including a woman’s husband, responsible for his extreme step.The deceased, Chirag Mistry, allegedly consumed a poisonous substance before hanging himself at his old house in the Limda Chowk area. Bilimora police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation.According to police, Mistry was previously in a relationship with a married woman. The relationship ended after her husband, learnt about it. In the video, Mistry alleged that despite the relationship ending, the woman continued to contact him and that he informed her husband about the attempts, as required under an affidavit he had earlier signed promising not to communicate with her.Mistry alleged that instead of speaking to his wife, the woman’s husband repeatedly threatened him, claiming he would have him jailed with the help of a lawyer and his police contacts. He also named three others in the video, holding them responsible for his decision.After the video surfaced on Thursday, Mistry’s relatives and friends began searching for him. They eventually found him at his old residence, where he had allegedly consumed poison and hanged himself. Police are verifying the allegations made in the video as part of the investigation.
