Surat: Zone-4 Local Crime Branch (LCB) police have apprehended a Thai woman residing in Magdalla village for possession of foreign liquor and banned e-cigarettes, seizing items worth Rs 18,800 and registering a case with Umra police.Acting on a tip-off, police raided a rented room on the first floor where five women were staying. A liquor bottle was found in a plastic bag on the bed. On questioning, the women said the bottle belonged to Phavinee Khumnuan Kongsaenkum (28) from Kalasin Province, Thailand.During the search, police also recovered five banned e-cigarettes valued at Rs 17,500. Both the liquor and e-cigarettes were seized, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the Thai national.
