Surat: The Navsari Municipal Corporation (NMC) issued a heat alert for citizens, requested them to take adequate precautions. The NMC asked people to avoid unnecessary outings in the heat.Citizens were advised to drink more liquids. Senior citizens, children and pregnant women were advised to stay home during the afternoon.Builders and developers were also told to give workers rest from 1pm to 4pm and to arrange liquids to drink and sheds for workers at construction sites.
