Surat: A history-sheeter working as a manager with a textile unit was booked under sections of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) and arrested for alleged sexual harassment of two boys – aged 11 and 13 years – in the Umra police station.According to police, the boys were playing in a garden near Sat Keval Circle on Tuesday night when Sheth came in his car and asked them to accompany him for some cleaning work. He lured them dinner and chocolates.After the boys got into the car, he drove to a deserted place in Umra village and stopped. He then allegedly exposed himself and told them into indulge in sexual act. As the boys started shouting, he decided to drop them at the same place from where he had picked them up.As the family members had alerted the police on being informed by some people, the cops cordoned off the roads iin the area and nabbed Sheth when he reached there.Sheth was remanded in two days police custody by a court.Investigation revealed that Sheth is a history-sheeter who was also externed in the past from Surat. He faces offences of theft, physical assaults, and those under the liquor laws.Sheth told police that he works as a manager with a textile unit and was married for a year.Police have seized his mobile phone and sent it for forensic analysis to determine if he had accessed child pornography.
