Surat: Students from the city performed well in the Chartered Accountant (CA) Foundation and Intermediate examinations, the results of which were declared by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Sunday.Raghav Gupta secured All India Rank (AIR) 3 in the CA Foundation examination with 361 out of 400 marks.In the CA Intermediate examination, Prakshal Jain secured AIR 4 with 494 out of 600 marks. Panth Radadiya secured AIR 14 with 461 marks, while Vivek Jain bagged AIR 25 with 447 marks, placing them among the top 50 rank holders.“I am very satisfied with my AIR-3 rank, though I missed AIR-2 by a couple of marks,” Gupta told TOI.Radadiya said the journey had been challenging after the death of his father during his preparation. “My father encouraged me to pursue CA. He would have been the happiest today seeing my AIR-14,” he said.Rahul Agrawal, chairman of the ICAI Surat branch, said that out of 1,064 students who appeared for the Intermediate examination, 123 cleared both groups. Among single-group candidates, 1,005 appeared for Group I, of whom 190 passed, while 466 appeared for Group II, with 96 clearing the exam.
