Surat: The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express was pelted with stones on Tuesday evening. According to railway authorities, the incident took place between Utran and Kosad stations near Surat.The incident took place between 6.30pm and 6.45pm, when the train was on its scheduled run towards Ahmedabad. According to officials, the stone-pelting caused cracks in the glass window of one of the coaches. No injury to passengers was reported.After the incident, railway authorities alerted security personnel and a Rapid Action Force (RAF) team, along with police, rushed to the spot. During the preliminary investigation, security personnel nabbed one suspect from the area. He is being interrogated to gather more details about the incident and ascertain whether more people were involved.Sources said Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel was also travelling on the train at the time of the incident, but she was seated in a different coach.
