Surat: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India announced the results of the nationwide CMA (Cost and Management Accountancy) Foundation exam, which was conducted in June. Bharat Savani, vice-chairperson of the CMA Surat South Gujarat Chapter, stated that 289 students took the CMA Foundation exam, of whom 244 passed, for an overall pass percentage of 84.4%.In Surat, Heena Harkavat got the top rank with 344 marks out of 400. Karan Gandhi also scored 344, sharing the first position.Among the students of the CMA Surat Chapter, Parv Shah scored 322 marks and secured the second place in Surat, Amisha Dhakan got 316 marks to claim third, Mohomad Faiz Godil scored 308 marks for fourth and Darsh Vaghasia earned 306 marks to come fifth in the city.Surat students failed to reach near the Top 10 rank holders in India, as there is huge gap of 20 marks between the Surat topper and the Top-10 rankers. Ahmedabad’s Manoj Patel secured an all-India rank of 9 by securing 362 marks. Chennai’s Vignesh S secured 386 marks to stand first in India.
