Surat: A woman and her son riding a motorcycle were injured after a kite string suddenly came in their way on the flyover leading to Limbayat on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Taradevi Yadav (48) and her son Praveen, residents of Vrindavan Nagar in Godadara. Taradevi’s grandson, Piyush, who was riding between them, was unharmed. They were admitted to SMIMER Hospital for treatment. According to officials, the family had returned from Valsad after a medical consultation and had arrived at Udhna railway station earlier in the afternoon. Praveen had picked them up on his motorcycle and was riding towards Nilgiri Circle in Limbayat when a kite string struck him across the cheek, causing a deep cut. The sudden impact caused him to lose balance, leading to all three falling off the motorcycle.While Praveen and his mother sustained injuries, the child was unharmed.
