Surat: Police stations across the city, including the cybercrime police station, registered 25 cyberfraud complaints on Thursday. The cases were filed at Sarthana, Laskana, Varachha, Saroli, Chowk Bazar, Godadara, Limbayat, Puna, Khatodara and other police stations. The Surat cybercrime police alone registered four FIRs on the same day.Together, the 25 FIRs reported frauds exceeding Rs 1.50 crore.The reported offences included task fraud, investment fraud, APK file scams, QR-code fraud, fake RTO challan fraud, money-laundering fraud, and other cybercrimes.
