HAMARA DIL AAPKE PASS HAI

There is no denying that Aishwarya Rai is seriously hot property. The actress has already given the industry a hat trick of hits, but will her latest release, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, make it four in a row?

Anil Kapoor and Sonali Bendre star alongside Aishwarya in this project. Satish Kaushik, whose last release was the successful Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai, directs the movie.

So, what is it about? Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya live in a house together, giving us the impression that they are happily married. The house also has two cute kids, so we think it's a picture perfect family. But looks can be deceiving because this is not a family, and they are not a couple! Let us explain.

Aishwarya plays a woman how stand up for what she believes, no matter what. Although this sounds good in theory it ends up landing her in hot water. When she encounters a local gunda, she soon puts him in his place, but the evil guy takes revenge by raping her.

She has no one to turn to, and is not even given support by her family and other members of society. Luckily Anil Kapoor, who she doesn't even know very well, offers her a shoulder to cry on, and a house to live in. What else can she do but movie in with him? 

It's a kind offer by Anil Kapoor, who has a heart of gold. Even when he finds out that his father has two children from an affair, he gives them a home. Yes, you've guessed it; these are the same two children who we were talking about earlier. So now you see how the picture perfect family is not actually so picture perfect after all!

Anil Kapoor has a secret. He has fallen in love with Aishwarya and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Unfortunately she thinks way too highly of him and cannot imagine such a proposal. However, there is someone out there who would love to get involved with Anil, and her name is Sonali! 

Sonali thinks Anil should move back with his father, and also wants to marry him. But where does that leave poor old Ash? Well, it's enough to make her come to her  senses and realize that she loves Anil Kapoor. But has she left it too late?

Director saab, Satish, was obviously happy with the success if his last movie Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rahte Hai and decided to make a new film with the same old feel. He has even given it a similar name!

However, lets not forget that HADMRH has some really annoying features. All those stupid, irrelevant comedy scenes for starters. Unfortunately, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai also has similar comedy scenes, which may be a little better than the previous effort, but we could still have done without it!

They make the film drag on and on and on, so what's the point? OK, so its not only the comedy bits that make the film drag because there are quite a few scenes that should have been cut.

Acting wise, there are lots of positive things to say! Anil and Aishwarya give out good performances that might gain them a nomination or two. Once again, Aishwarya looks fantastic throughout the movie. Sonali is OK, but doesn't really stand her ground next to the two main stars.

There are some very emotion scenes in the film, which is hardly surprisingly considering the theme. These are generally handled well by the actors and
may make some members of the audience reach out for their hankies. So if you are the type that gets moved easily, be prepared!

It is sometimes hard to figure out what the public really like. But if you enjoyed Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai, it is likely that you will also like this film. There are even parts of this movie which are better than HADMRH, so it could attract a bigger audience. Looks like another winner for Satish Kaushik and the team!
