POTATO BASED PIZZA

9"round dish, 1 "high


PIZZA BASE
100 gms maida (1 cup packed) 

2 tbsp/30 gms butter
1 medium/100 gms potato 

1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt


PIZZA SAUCE
4 tbsp ready made tomato puree (Godrej or Kissan) 

1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp dhania powder
1/4 tsp oregano/ajwain - powdered 

1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar
1/z tsp chilli powder

 

TOPPING 

50 gms cheese 

1/2 medium onion - thinly sliced 

1/2 medium capsicum - thinly sliced 

 

 

1. Put the potato in a polythene bag and micro high 2and 1/2 minutes. Mash the cooked potato
    to a smooth paste. Keep aside to cool. 

2. Rub butter into the flour till it resembles bread crumbs. 

3. Add mashed potato, baking powder & salt. 

4. Knead to a dough using a few tbsp cold water. 

5. To prepare the sauce, mix all the ingredients with the tomato puree. Keep aside. 

6. Roll out pizza dough and spread out in the dish. 

7. Spread sauce on the pizza, leaving 1/4" space all around. Micro high uncovered 6 minutes.

8. Mix a little salt to onion & capsicum & sprinkle on the pizza. Grate cheese on it. Micro high
    uncovered 1 minute. 

9. Let stand 2-3 minutes before slicing.
